Sidescraping !

You see, I thought I knew what this was.     Seeing the word makes it sound like you’re driving a tank up against something.    Getting parallel to your enemy, or to a building.    And then I got the feeling from various forum posts that I didn’t have a clue, so I googled it.

Use your side armor. At an extreme angle. Well, crap!

What tank is considered the king of sidescraping ?   The VK4502P “B”.    The one I’ve been having a pretty bad time with.    I tried it out in a match on Erlenburg, and what do you know, I bounced quite a few shots.    So I’ll have to continue to try this maneuver.

Hull Down !

I do know what this one is – but in case you don’t.     This is the art of using terrain to block part of your tank from view.    Best employed, for example, when driving a T29 – godly turret armor, but the hull has much weaker protection.    And if not – sidescrape.

Right tank can only view the top of the left tank because it is hull down. Protective.

Beta !

The beta is fun.    April 4th is coming, when I can reveal my thoughts.    Posts are written and ready to publish.    It appears I’m now in the camp of people who hate keeping a secret – at least, when it comes to a game.
